The Edinboro Castle Hotel has been under the Cody Family management for approx. 16 months.

When we took over the hotel the bistro side of the business was virtually non-existent, so we started from scratch and slowly built up a regular clientele.

After a few months of steady customer flow and with the onset of winter in the Bathurst area we needed a way to keep the customers interest and to give ourselves a point of difference from the other hotels as there are approx 10 other hotels in the CDB area offering meals not to mention the countless other hotels and cafes in the surrounding area.

This is where Hereford Prime comes in – about a year ago we were lucky enough to be recommended that we try the meat by another hotel already selling the product with great success.

From the first bite we knew that the meat would be a huge hit in the Bathurst area giving us a great product to sell which is also reasonably priced allowing us to pass on the savings to our customers as well as giving us the point of difference we so badly needed.

The turnover has increased in the Bistro, which has in turn helped to create more turnover in other areas of the hotel.
